Who We Are

We are trainers, coaches, motivators, supporters, and most importantly, your teammates. We are here for you. There is no one-size-fits all solution to fitness and health which is why we create a customized experience. Every person can progress at a rate they feel comfortable with but also a rate which pushes them to new peaks of performance.

At Body Tuners, we want to help our clients and we are dedicated to creating a relationship built on honesty, trust, and respect. That being said, we want to openly communicate with our clients to push them to achieve goals they may have never thought possible. Moreover, we want to deliver an experience focused on the client’s end goals and build a program that considers this unlike other programs that create random work outs or programming.

Principles of our work

CUSTOM PROGRAMMING

We develop customized programs for our clients that allow them to achieve their fitness goals in a way that is safe, comfortable, and fun.

EXPERT NUTRITION

Every program includes detailed nutritional coaching specific to your goals and needs. We also provide customized meal planning options for clients interested in our meal planning program.

PRIVATE GYM EXPERIENCE

Our Private gym allows our clients to feel safe, comfortable, and motivated. Our gym is only available to those working with one of our personal trainers. Our gym is free of the distractions and unwelcoming situations you find at a traditional gym.

Fitness has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started playing sports at just 4 years old and went on to compete at a high level in soccer, softball, and basketball, eventually playing four years of college softball at Humboldt State. With over a decade of experience and a degree in Kinesiology, I’ve turned that lifelong passion into helping others transform their lives. I believe fitness is for everyone. Whether you’re just starting out or leveling up, my goal is to create a positive, motivating space where you feel supported every step of the way. This isn’t about quick fixes it’s about building a lifestyle that lasts.

Fitness and athletics have always been a staple in my life. I am currently attending Cal Poly Humboldt getting my Bachelors degree in Kinesiology- exercise science with a minor in recreation. I was a multi-sport athlete growing up, with a family history of college athletes. Going into my sixth year playing college softball, I was fortunate enough to play 3 years at American River Junior College where I received my associates in Kinesiology- Physical fitness. Then I was recruited up here to play at Cal Poly Humboldt where I will finish my athletic and academic career. I have always loved working out and the way it makes me feel. I want to be able to teach other people how they can feel that same way about themselves and teach them that their goals, no matter how big, are attainable!

I train in the sweet science of boxing. I love learning new techniques and the philosophy behind the art. Boxing was introduced to me early in my journey of becoming and became a pillar in my physical and spiritual practice in life. The sense of flow I find in boxing is what made me fall in love with it. I believe aggression is a good thing when channeled in a controlled way. I believe the cultivation of mindfulness is the key to boxing as it is in other aspects of life. There are many lesson we can learn about ourselves from dedication to a physical discipline. We will learn none of these lessons if we don't put in the work but the most important lesson I learned was to just show up.

Hi, I’m Melanie. My passion for sharing means of self-connecting came through my own journey of living disconnected. My farming and ranching family background led me to getting a BS in Agricultural Business before pain conditions and years of infertility set me on another path. My own healing journey introduced me to various practices of returning to self. Eventually getting certifications and trainings in practices I've implemented along the way. I have a Social-Emotional Learning Facilitator Certification to teach SEL, mindfulness, breathwork, and wellness practices. I’m Yoga certified, have Shoden and Okuden Jikiden Reiki Energy Healing certifications, and have taken various other masterclasses to learn and lead wellbeing modalities. Including EFT, guided meditations, and much more! I believe life is one of the greatest teachers there is. While on the human journey we will continue to have ups and downs, twists and turns, joys, challenges, and of course lessons. I’m grateful for the ability to practice and share ways of returning to center through it all.

Yetizrah Dove
Personal Trainer
Contact me:
(707)273-9837

Yetzirah was first introduced to Yoga by her mother, as a small child. Her only formal
teachings at that time were presented through the book Lillias, Yoga and You. Yoga was always a part of her life, either practicing the physical postures (asana), or studying eastern philosophy. Even as a child, Yetzirah was spiritually aware and very curious of the
metaphysical. Yetzirah has done a variety of jobs, including over 10 years spent in the food and beverage industry. She was unfulfilled and felt called to a higher purpose in life. She took a spiritual coaching course, learning how to shift states of being. This included the practice of meditation, breathwork and Shaktipat (transference of divine energy). Although Yetzirah loved what she was learning, she did not feel ready to be certified as a spiritual coach. Instead, more time was spent soul searching, seeking, and studying what she calls “tools to save souls”. Eventually, Yetzirah became a certified yoga teacher through Soma Yoga Institute. She is also a 200hr RYT with Yoga Alliance. Yetzirah passionately continues her education in Yoga and other areas of holistic healing. She believes very much in the Inner power and the Higher power to assist humans in becoming the healthiest, happiest versions of themselves. Yetzirah is the mother of four children and feels honored in this role. She has experienced childhood trauma, life struggles, and fluctuations in her own weight and health. This gives her the wisdom and compassion much needed to guide others. She is a born leader and a natural healer. She believes that moving our bodies in meaningful ways is so powerful in the healing journey. She has also learned that being mindful is crucial for the discipline it takes to create positive change.

Building healthier communities has been a passion of mine since high school. I began my career working with children as a coach and basketball official when I was 15 years old. I have coached various sports since I was a teenager. I have a Master’s in Social Work and a Minor in Recreation. As a therapist, I often use body movement as a way to build rapport and process trauma with children and teenagers. As a coach, I utilize my knowledge of trauma and social work skills, to meet adolescents where they are at and show them compassion and support while teaching them the fundamentals of a sport.

I’ve had four Open Heart Surgeries and wasn’t permitted to run or participate in athletics until I was in high school. I believe that moving your body is a gift not to be taken for granted. I also believe in inclusive athletic programs and fitness gyms and believe that fitness can be for anyone no matter their physical or mental barriers.

I currently coach several local middle school teams secondary to my main position as a therapist. I believe as a coach it is my role to mentor student athletes, be a safe and appropriate role model, and teach and show new athletic skills. Body movement can be utilized in a number of ways to help the health and development in children. I am energetic, motivating, encouraging, and provide positive encouragement to the players I coach or the people around me when participating in body movement/recreation.
